1A 5 year warranty = unit lasted 14mo and ‘we’ll give you a new unit with 1 year warranty?’ = 2+ year warrenty….
By Amazon Queen
Purchased 2 of these at Home Depot in South Carolina. The one that broke was in 1 bedroom & bathroom while we were away (with the door to the rest of the house closed).
Unit was set up to drain into the HUGE shower and had PLENTY or air to circulate. Heat or A/C was on during correlating seasons.
It died 14 months… now they tell me it was a ‘clogged evaporator’ which is too costly to repair! I bought a DeLonghi unit, via Amazon.com, and it has worked, in my basement, for 5 years without a hitch! Let’s see how long the other LG dehumidifier lasts!
I hate Guarantees that run out in 1 year and then the new product has a shorter or no guarantee! My brother calls that “An American Guarantee”.

5Works Great!
By Wethersfield, CT
I bought this to replace my very loud Whirlpool dehumidifier that only lasted 5 years. I’ve had the LG for about 2 weeks now. It extracts a lot of water and the best part is that its very quiet. It is also very easy to use. Good deal.

1Rattle Trap
By C. Currier
I’ve had this for about 8 months and it de-humidifies just fine. About 90 days in, it started sounding a little loud. Then it got worse… and worse… and worse. Now it rattles so darn loud that you can hardly talk on the phone in the same room. So irritating. If you push on certain parts of the machine, it will stop rattling, but as soon as you take your hand off it starts making a racket again.

Terrible design. Just terrible.
